I'm watching Downton Abbey again this year, and there is nothing "kind" about Sarah Bunting's character, sorry. She doesn't come across as having a heart either. I don't think that she was well liked by the viewers much. She was helpful with Daisy, that's correct - but it seemed that it was more to do based on her values and political beliefs than her good heart.

This is one of the reasons I like Peter he is genuinely moved by what she has told him and did ask her when the met again how things were going glad to she she’s alive and well and is now a mother (as of 2021)

Update - Laura is doing great. It’s 14 years since she was first diagnosed, and although she still has cancer with daily medication she lives a full and active life. Laura became a mum via surrogacy 4 years ago. She still works as an entertainment reporter for Scottish television.
